NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Camp Hill man has been charged with delivering the heroin that led to a death in York County last year.

Nicholas A. Provenza, 21, was arraigned Wednesday on felony counts of drug delivery resulting in death and delivery of a controlled substance.

Fairview Township police said Provenza on October 5 delivered a quantity of heroin to a 21-year-old man in the 400 block of Chestnut Way, where officers responded later when the unidentified man went into cardiac arrest and died.

A search of the area around the victim provided evidence he had recently ingested heroin and marijuana, police said.

Provenza was released on $50,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing was set for June 10.
