CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Franklin County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the shooting deaths of his estranged wife, her boyfriend, and the boyfriend's mother last summer.

Kevin Cleeves, 36, of Waynesboro, received three consecutive life sentences Friday after pleading guilty to three counts of first-degree murder.

Cleeves on July 27 shot and killed his estranged wife, Brandi, her boyfriend, Vincent Santucci, and Santucci's mother, Rosemary Holma.

He then fled with his four-year-old daughter before his was arrested in Ohio.

Authorities said Cleeves and his estranged wife were in the midst of a custody battle.

Franklin County District Attorney Matthew Fogal said he consulted extensively with the surviving family members before agreeing to the sentence.

Fogal said he considered many factors, including the potential emotional trauma on the daughter who witnessed her mother's murder, had she been called as a witness in a trial.
