Driver Crashes Car Into Two Roanoke Co. Homes, No Serious Injuries

Roanoke Co., VA – Police say a driver suffered minor injuries after they crashed a car into two Roanoke County homes Friday morning.

Police say it happened around the area of Kingsmill Drive and Queensmill Drive.

Police officers say the driver may have suffered a medical emergency and veered off the road, crashing the car into a home on Kingsmill Drive. The car kept traveling through the yard next door and into another home's basement on Queensmill Drive.

None of the residents in the homes were injured. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.

    State police are investigating a robbery that happened Sunday at a convenience store in Greene Township, Franklin County.According to authorities, it happened just before 6:30 a.m. at the Pit Stop on the 2300 block of Philadelphia Avenue.A male reportedly entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money.The suspect is described as being 5-foot, 6-inches tall, and weighs about 150 lbs.
