York woman arrested in $10K heroin bust

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York woman was arrested Friday after officers searched her home and seized 530 bags of heroin with a street value of more than $10,000, according to city police.

Police said they also found $4,100 in U.S. currency and a handgun that had been reported stolen in the home at 637 West Princess Street.

Katherine Almeyda, 48, was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and receiving stolen property, police said.
