Danville, VA-- If you live in Danville, you may have noticed that Ballou Park is undergoing major transformation. Crews are getting it ready for the 39th Annual Festival in the Park.

There is a little twist to this year's festival. For the first time, they're starting the event a day earlier. It will kick off Thursday at 6 p.m. with a cooking demonstration and concert.

From Friday through Sunday, there will be plenty of entertainment, food, arts and crafts and rides. Organizers said there's something for everyone.

"Whether you just enjoy eating food good, hearing good music, shopping, health awareness, and all of those things that available for every age," said Barbara Seamster, Festival in the Park Board Member.

Entry into the festival is free. For more information about all the activities that will be going on, click here.
