What was once the seventh-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history has climbed to the number 3 spot.
The Powerball lottery grew from $360 million to an estimated $475 million overnight after none of the tickets sold for Wednesday's drawing matched all six numbers drawn.
A single winner who opts for the cash payment would collect an estimated $302.4 million.
The prize is shadowed only by the $587.5 million Powerball jackpot split between two tickets in November, and the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot shared among three winning tickets in March 2012.
The numbers drawn Wednesday are 2, 11, 26, 34, 41 and the Powerball 32.
