LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Lancaster County are asking the public to help them identify a man accused of stealing a car while the owner was putting air in a tire.

Manheim Township on Thursday released a surveillance photograph of the man, who allegedly was seen operating the silver 2009 Acura RL after the theft at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The owner reported that he was putting air into a passenger side tire while the Acura was running at the Giant to Go, at 2339 Oregon Pike, when his car suddenly began to pull away, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo is asked to call Manheim Township police at 717-569-6401 or leave and anonymous tip at 717-569-2816.
