Police: 12-year-old boy robbed in Lemoyne

LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating a Cumberland County robbery involving a 12-year-old victim.

Around 3:20 p.m. on Monday, the West Shore Regional Police responded to a report of a young man being robbed in the area of South 2nd Street and Herman Avenue in Lemoyne.

Officers said that the 12-year-old victim and several friends were approached by a man asking if they had any money. The man told them that he needed the money for gas so he could visit his daughter in the hospital.

The victim told police he had some money in his hand, and the robber took it from him, got into a gold or tan sedan and fled the scene.

Police said the robber was 5'5" - 5'6" tall and thin, with black buzz-cut hair, facial hair and brown eyes. He wore a T-shirt, shorts, and a necklace with a wooden cross. He also had a tattoo that ran from his elbow up his arm, described as "squiggly lines."
