State police call off Amber Alert after missing teen comes home

POTTSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Pennsylvania State Police located a missing 17-year-old girl in Schuylkill County after issuing an Amber Child Abduction Alert on Saturday morning.

Police say the girl was abducted from the 300 block of Howard Avenue in Pottsville at around 6 a.m.

According to authorities, she was taken by 20-year-old Stephen Campion, Jr. after he assaulted another person.

According to abc27's affiliate in Scranton, WNEP, Campion is now in police custody and awaiting preliminary arraignment.
