2 wanted in theft at Mechanicsburg area store

Police in Cumberland County hope someone will recognize two people wanted for a retail theft incident at the Best Buy store near Mechanicsburg.

Silver Spring Township police have released photos of a man and woman suspected in the theft Saturday night at the store in the 6400 block of Carlisle Pike.

Police said the woman left the store with merchandise in her purse. She was asked to return to the store by a manager, but she refused and got into a white, newer model Nissan Altima or Maxima with white Maryland license plates with an American Flag on the left side of the plates.

The Male exited the store shortly after the female also setting off the doorway alarms. The female then got into a white newer model Nissan Altima or Maxima bearing white Maryland license plates with an American Flag on the left side of the plates.

A store employee tried to get the license plate number, but the man ran up behind the worker, shoved him and slapped his hands down, police said. The male then entered the vehicle and fled south on the Carlisle Pike.

A third person, a man, was in the rear passenger side seat of the car, police said.
