A man was hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting in Harrisburg's Midtown on Tuesday afternoon.
Harrisburg police said the shooting occurred outside a bar the corner of North 3rd and Calder Streets at around 2:45 p.m.
The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the upper body at least once. His injuries were described as life-threatening.
He was taken by private vehicle to a hospital where he underwent surgery.
The incident left residents on edge.
"It could have been me. It's terrible. I live a block down the street," Renda Moore said.
There was no immediate word on whether the shooting is an isolated incident.
Police continue to investigate and may have some help from surveillance cameras in the area.
