The Harrisburg School District has reached contract agreements with two of its employee groups: the teachers and the administrative staff.
Chief Recovery Officer Gene Veno said the teachers and administrator unions have both agreed to about five percent cuts to their wages and health benefits.
Veno said the maintenance workers' union rejected the district's offer. He said he will urge the union to reconsider before the board is forced to consider more severe measures.
The contract renegotiations are part of the school's recovery plan.
