A 31-year-old man is in custody after police say he stabbed a 23-year-old Lancaster resident last month. The victim remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Miguel Camacho, of the 200 block of West Vine Street in Lancaster, was charged with aggravated assault on May 25 regarding a stabbing incident on May 4.

Police said Camacho stabbed the male victim multiple times along the first block of East Fulton Street between the Village Night Club and the 100 block North Duke Street.

On June 14, investigators received information that Camacho was in Mount Joy. Authorities arrived at a home in the 100 block of Harvestview North and, along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Mount Joy Borough Police, arrested Camacho without incident.

Camacho was housed in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is also being held on a Pennsylvania State Parole detainer.

The investigation into this incident continues. Anyone with information may contact police.
