DILLSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County teacher is facing charges after police say she allowed students to pierce body parts while in her classroom without parental consent.

Carroll Township Police charged 34-year-old April Beard from the 100 block of Wilson Road with one count of endangering the welfare of children and one count of corruption of minors.

Officials said the incident occurred on April 16 at Northern York County High School. Beard allowed a student to pierce her [Beard's] ear and then had the same student pierce another student's stomach in the classroom.

This happened without parental consent.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled on June 17. The charges were bound over to York County Court.
