Another prayer vigil, another hearing and another continuation scheduled; it was a repeat performance of sorts Monday night for those in Chanceford Township.
Before a zoning board hearing regarding a proposed strip club, a group of residents held a prayer vigil outside Clearview Elementary School.
Chris Kauffman was in attendance. He said if the strip club was given the go ahead, he would consider moving his family elsewhere.
"It's not going to build up our community ... it's going to tear it down," Kauffman said.
During the hearing, an attorney representing an area bank against the club dominated the discussion and fired questions at the landlord.
Afterward, others opposing the club took to the microphone and spoke out as well.
The proposal is to open a strip club that would be called "The Office" in the Brogue Shopping Center right next to Sugar and Spice Family Restaurant.
No vote was taken Monday night. The board is scheduled to meet again on Monday, July 22 at 6 p.m. in the Clearview Elementary auditorium. If necessary, they will hold yet another hearing, same time and location on Thursday, July 25.
