DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in West Manchester Township, York County.

Officials said the crash occurred just before 1 p.m. when a car collided with a truck hauling roofing tiles along the 600 block of South Salem Church Road near the Dover Township line.

The driver of the car, 23-year-old Shane Dorsey of Summerhouse Lane in York, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the cause of death was multiple trauma.

Police believe the car crossed the center line and hit the truck on a rain-sickened and narrow stretch of the road, which was closed between Route 234 and Route 30 while police investigated.

The 38-year-old truck driver from Thurmont, Maryland was not injured.
