Police seek motorcyclist who crashed while fleeing

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Cumberland County are seeking tips on the whereabouts of a motorcyclist who allegedly ran from them after he crashed during an attempt to flee.

Silver Spring Township police said an officer tried to stop a reckless motorcycle driver Tuesday afternoon in the 7000 of Carlisle Pike, but 21-year-old Skylor Fickes turned onto Hathaway Drive and attempted to flee in the mobile home neighborhood before he lost control, crashed, and ran into a nearby woods.

Fickes is about 6'0" to 6'2" tall, 200-215 lbs, with a muscular build and short light brown hair. He wears prescription glasses and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray pants, police said.
