Police are warning of a scam involving a letter that is supposedly from a company called U.S. Airlines.
Northern York County Regional police said they have received numerous complaints over the last week concerning the letter, which indicates that the recipient has won two airline tickets.
The letter instructs recipients to call a number to claim the tickets.
Police said the letter is being distributed across the United States and is a phishing scam designed to obtain personal information.
The company name at the top of the letters is similar to that of U.S. Airways, but U.S. Airlines is not a registered airline.
The department said no one who reported the letter has lost any money or personal information.
