Swatara Township police warn of burglaries

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Swatara Township, Dauphin County said residents should be aware that there have been several reported burglaries and burglary attempts in the area.

The burglaries are occurring in the overnight hours by criminals who are targeting homes, sheds and utility buildings, police said Thursday.

Patrol units have been increased to address the trend, police said, and all leads are being investigated in order to apprehend those involved.

Police also reminded residents to secure doors and windows and to be vigilant for suspicious activity around their homes.
