HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Perry County 911 dispatchers said there are downed trees and wires near Blain, but there have been no reports of significant damage from a strong thunderstorm that moved through the area Thursday afternoon.

Velocities on radar showed a rotation signature in the Blain area shortly after a tornado warning was issued for southwestern Perry and Juniata counties, but there have been no reports of a tornado or funnel cloud in the area, according to abc27 meteorologists.

The tornado warning expired at 3 p.m.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. for south central Pennsylvania.

Route 34 was closed between New Bloomfield and Newport due to downed trees and wires, and heavy rains from the storm flooded part of Route 274 in New Germantown.
