An Ephrata man was arrested twice in the span of four hours, first for public drunkenness, then on charges of retail theft.

On Saturday police said they received an early morning report of a man urinating in an apartment complex parking lot on Oriole Drive. When they arrived at the scene, they saw a man exposing himself to a woman sitting in a chair in the parking lot.

Officers took the man, later identified as 24-year-old Tristan M. Adams, into custody at 7:40 a.m. and charged him with public drunkenness. He was then released to friend at around 9:45 a.m.

Then at 12:10 p.m., police received a call from Walmart in Ephrata regarding a shoplifter. Officers arrived to find Adams in custody, accused of taking $75 in items.

Adams was arrested for retail theft, charged and released.
