YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Fifteen people are out of their homes following a three-alarm fire in York.

It broke out in a row of homes on West Princess Street near Belvidere Avenue just before 4 p.m.

Fire crews got it under control within an hour, but at least two homes are destroyed. Several adjacent homes also have significant smoke damage, firefighters said.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with heat-related injuries.

The Red Cross has been called to the scene to assist the eight adults and ten children affected.

There is no word yet on a cause.
