Amtrak service restored between Harrisburg, Lancaster

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Amtrak has resumed service between Harrisburg and Lancaster following a rail terminal fire that closed the tracks for about six hours Tuesday.

Amtrak said the first westbound train since the service suspension was train 649, which left Philadelphia around 4:45 p.m. The first eastbound train was number 656, which departed Harrisburg at 5:35 p.m.

Passengers can expect a full schedule of normal service on Wednesday.
