A suburban Harrisburg man told police he was shot in the chest by a robber outside an after-hours club early Thursday.
The 29-year-old victim was being treated at Harrisburg Hospital for an injury that is not life threatening, Harrisburg police said in a news release Friday.
The unidentified man and two companions told investigators that they had decided to visit the Forever Nights club near Derry and S. 19th streets, and had just parked their cars when two robbers confronted them and demanded their valuables.
They said one of the robbers showed a handgun and shot the victim before the pair got away with a cell phone, according to police.
Both robbers were said to be in their 20's. One was described as 6'0" tall, thin, and wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and baseball hat. The other was said to be heavier built than the first robber, and was wearing black clothing.
