The weather across the region is becoming much calmer than the past couple of hours would suggest as the severe weather threat moves away. The thunderstorms may have helped to cool things off and drop the humidity, but they also caused some property damage thanks to the high wind gusts. Other than a passing shower here tonight, skies will feature passing clouds into the morning.
The upper level low responsible for triggering thunderstorms today will do so again on Monday. At this time the severe threat is low, but we will wait to see how the storms develop. With extra clouds around tomorrow the atmosphere should be a bit more stable than today. However, just a couple hour timeframe of sun in the afternoon could make all the difference.
In the extended forecast the hot and humid conditions
hold on until week's end with daily opportunities for showers and
thunderstorms. Our patience looks to pay off though as the humidity
drops leading into next weekend.
