President of Milton Hershey School to step down

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -

The president of the Milton Hershey School will step down later this summer to spend more time with his family.

"To leave retirement to become the President of the School was a wonderful opportunity," said Dr. Anthony J. Colistra who came out of retirement in 2009 to lead the school. "But as much as I love this School, I am eager to spend more time with my children and grandchildren."

Colistra has been a teacher, guidance counselor, principal and superintendent. He also served on the Milton Hershey School Board of Managers.

Hershey Trust Company Executive Vice President John H. Estey will serve as interim president while they search for a permanent replacement. Ridgeway Partners, an education executive search and succession planning firm, will help with the transition.
