NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) -

Authorities spent hours at the scene of a water main break in northern York County.

It happened along the 100 block of Lewisberry Road, which was closed between Fairview and York roads.  It has since reopened.

The homeowner, Marcia Myers, told abc27 an old water main runs underneath her property and burst around 9 p.m.  It was repaired around 2 a.m.

Water could be seen spouting from the driveway and running into the next door neighbor's front yard.

Pennsylvania American Water officials said there was no need for a boil water advisory following the break.
