COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lancaster County man was arrested following an investigation into cocaine deliveries.

On Wednesday, July 3, officials arrested 29-year-old Stanley Bennem of Columbia Borough for two prior deliveries of cocaine.

The investigation began in April of 2013 when authorities used a police informant wired with an electronic audio recording device to buy cocaine from Bennem for $700 in Lancaster City.

Bennem was arrested shortly thereafter for an unrelated incident for which he was charged with intimidation of a witness, stalking and terroristic threats.

Bennem posted collateral, and the narcotics investigation continued. In June of 2013, the same police informant made a second wired purchase of cocaine, again for $700 from Bennem in Lancaster Township.

On the day he was arrested, officials conducted surveillance on a home in the 300 block of Perry Street in Columbia Borough.

Bennem was seen arriving at the home in a vehicle and was arrested while he was still in the vehicle. Bennem was in possession of seven bags of cocaine at the time, and around $1,600 in cash.

Bennem was charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine, two counts of unlawful use of a communication facility and possession with the intent to deliver cocaine. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $3,000,000 cash bail.
