LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -
It appears a young girl abducted from Lancaster Township yesterday was assaulted by the person who took her, Manheim Township Police said this morning.
Chief Neil Harkins said a man abducted her from her yard around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and took her out for ice cream.
The perpetrator is described as a Caucasian male between the age of 50 and 70 wearing green shoes, green pants and a red and white striped shirt. He may have been walking with a limp.
Police believe he was driving a maroon or burgundy sedan, possibly a Chevy.
The girl he abducted, 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas, was playing outside of her home on the 100 block of Jennings Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday when she was taken.
Harkins said his officer will now be going to area ice cream shops to see if anyone may have seen the man and girl. He said they will also be requesting surveillance video from anyone who may have outside surveillance cameras on their homes.
