Storm downs trees in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Several jobs were awaiting cleanup crews in Harrisburg after a thunderstorm downed numerous trees and branches as it moved through the area Friday afternoon.

A very large tree fell at N. Front and Seneca streets, pulling along a light pole that had been positioned close by and heaving the sidewalk at its roots.

Another fallen tree closed Kelker Street between N. Front and 2nd streets, and in the 1900 block of N. 2nd another tree fell on the hood of a small car.

abc 27 news photographers found other trees and large branches damaged by the storm at N. Front and Reily, and on N. 3rd Street near Harrisburg High School.
