Glen Rock man charged with endangering teens

Posted: Updated:
GLEN ROCK, Pa. (WHTM) -

An 18-year-old Glen Rock has been arrested for providing alcohol to a teenage girl who was found to be extremely intoxicated, police said.

Southern Regional police said Richard Lorenzo Grant gave alcohol to a 13- and a 14-year-old girl Tuesday at his home on Hanover Street.

An officer on patrol saw two people standing over the semi-conscious 13-year-old as she was lying on a sidewalk, according to police, who said the girl was vomiting and incoherent.

Grant tried to take the girl into his house, refusing orders from the officer, and told the juveniles to lie about where they were drinking and where the alcohol came from, police said.

Once he got the girl into the front door, he tried to deny access to the officer, police said.

Police said they summoned an ambulance for the girl.

Grant was told that he was under arrest, but refused orders and struggled with officers in the street as they were taking him into custody, police said.

An officer received abrasions to his elbow, which did not need medical treatment.

Grant was charged with corruption of minors, reckless endangerment, obstruction, resisting arrest, simple assault, furnishing alcohol to minors, and underage drinking.

He was released after posting $20,000 bail.
