GLEN ROCK, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Glen Rock man was arrested this week for leaving his 19-month-old daughter alone in his unlocked apartment.

Southern Regional police said they charged 26-year-old Gregory Polson on Monday with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said they were notified July 13 that Polson's daughter had been left unattended, and that a note to a family member indicated that he was late for work.

He told officers that the family member is typically at his apartment by the time he leaves for work. He said he had no way of contacting the family member and didn't know what to do, police said.

He told officers that he put his daughter down for a nap, wrote the note, and left for work.

It is unknown how long the daughter was alone, but police said it appears have been anywhere between 15 minutes to a half hour.

Polson was released after posting $20,000 bail.
