HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Harrisburg teenager has been held for trial in the stabbing death of his cousin last month.

Sean Broden, 17, appeared for a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge George Zozos, who found enough evidence to forward the case to Dauphin County Court.

A formal arraignment was scheduled for September 4.

Broden was then returned to the Dauphin County Prison, where he is being held without bail on a charge of criminal homicide.

Authorities allege he killed 25-year-old Stevie Everson as the two were fighting June 6 at home in the 400 block of S. 25th Street.

Police said Broden claimed to have no idea why Everson collapsed during the fight. An autopsy later showed his cousin suffered a stab wound near his groin and died of internal bleeding.
