A York County man is facing felony drug charges in Ohio after police allegedly found 33 pounds of marijuana in his rental car.

Joseph M. Darrah, 30, of Felton, was being held in the Wood County Jail on charges of possession and trafficking in marijuana, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said they stopped Darrah's rented 2013 Chevrolet Traverse, with a Montana license plate, for a speed violation on Interstate 80 Saturday night.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted to the vehicle, and a search revealed 27 vacuum sealed bundles of marijuana, police said.

The marijuana has an estimated worth of $149,820, according to police.

Authorities said that if convicted, Darrah could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
