A man shot and killed himself during a police incident Friday at Lower Allen Community Park in Cumberland County.
Township police said they responded to the park at around 12:30 p.m. for a suicidal man with a gun, and found the man in his vehicle and threatening suicide.
Lisburn Road was closed between Route 114 and Old Forge Road while police negotiated with the man, but he ultimately turned his .40 caliber handgun on himself and fired a single shot to his head, police said.
The 25-year-old man, who carried a Virginia address, was despondent over a relationship, according to officials.
Authorities will not release his name out of respect for his family.
No police shots were fired and no public safety personnel were injured during the incident.
