The cold front that plagued us all weekend with clouds and opportunities for rain has finally cleared the region. Already cooler and drier air is arriving in western PA and we will start to feel it overnight. Expect lows to bottom out in the lower 60s in urban areas and upper 50s for rural spots. Some fog may develop, but if the west wind persists into the early morning fog should not be widespread.
Monday and Tuesday bring very nice conditions back to the forecast with less humidity and highs in the lower 80s. Another disturbance could bring a thunderstorm or two by late Wednesday, but a better chance for rain holds off until Thursday. The extended forecast guidance has been consistent with another weekend cold front that looks to impact our forecast next Saturday. Its still a week away, however this type of pattern keeps any big time heat to our south. So far we have seen the positive effects of cooler air in the past week, and this week offers two potential cool spells. Enjoy!
