UPDATE: Three Injured in Danville After BMW Crashes Into Tree

UPDATE: 10:52 a.m.

Danville, VA - Danville Police are investigating after a BMW crashed into a tree on Morris Avenue Sunday morning, injuring the driver and two occupants.

According to Danville Police Captain T. W. Jones, the accident happened Sunday morning around 7:30 a.m. in the 80 block of Morris Avenue.

Police say a 1994 BMW 525i was traveling eastbound on Morris Avenue, when the driver of the car lost control, veering off of the far right of the lane and traveling roughly 50 feet before hitting the base of a tree.

All three occupants of the BMW, including the driver, were transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment, though their injuries or conditions were not known as of late Sunday morning.

Police charged the driver of the BMW, John J. Jackson, 38, of Danville with driving a vehicle not under control.

The BMW sustained approximately $10,000 in damage, Captain Jones said.

Citizens who contact Crimestoppers by telephone may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Danville, VA – Danville Police confirm to ABC 13 they responded to a single car accident on Ashlawn Drive around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Witnesses on the scene tell ABC 13 that there appeared to be injuries, and Danville Police confirm they are currently investigating the accident at a nearby hospital.

There are very few details, including the conditions of the people involved in the accident, to report at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
