Police: Dauphin Co. man, 51, sexually assaulted 5-year-old

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police say Randy Schildt, 51, sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl over the weekend in Dauphin County.

According to officials, the assault took place on July 27 and 28 at the Rutherford Park Town Homes.

Swatara Township Police took Schildt into custody on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Schildt, who was also wanted by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office for a parking violation, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor.

He was arraigned a 3 p.m. and remanded to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

The PA Board of Parole also issued a detainer.
