LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lancaster County jury has returned a guilty verdict at the trial of a third man charged in a home invasion slaying last summer.

Stephen Harmer, 27, of Kirkwood, was found guilty Monday of second-degree murder in the killing of Douglas Herr in Drumore Township.

Harmer, who faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole, was also found guilty of robbery, burglary and conspiracy.

Two brothers, 25-year-old Cody Wunder and 23-year-old Kyle Wunder, pleaded guilty last month and also face life in prison when they are sentenced.

Prosecutors have said the three men went to Herr's home at 1297 Furniss Road on the night of August 17, 2012 because Harmer knew the victim had a safe with about $200,000 in cash that he received in a settlement from his wife's death in 2009.

Herr shot Cody Wunder in the leg during a struggle, but was killed when Kyle Wunder shot him in the head with a shotgun, authorities said.
