More than 300 Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers have returned from a deployment to Kuwait.
About 40 soldiers returned Tuesday to their home armory at 1400 Calder Street in Harrisburg, while other groups returned to home armories in Allentown, Lewisburg, Lock Haven, Philadelphia, Scranton and Williamsport.
Some of the returning soldiers are members of the 55th Armor Brigade, and had been away for about a year while they conducted security in support of Middle East military operations. Others are members of the 109th Infantry.
Several additional groups of Pennsylvania National Guard members from a variety of other units are also scheduled to return over the next several months.
