A 9-year-old boy was critically injured in a farm accident on Wednesday morning in Lancaster County.
The Rawlinsville Fire Company said the boy was caught in a alfalfa crimper. He was then flown from the scene by Life Lion.
The accident occurred in a field at Creamery Road and Martic Heights Drive shortly before 11 a.m. About 30 rescuers from Rawlinsville, Quarryville and Willow Street responded.
Authorities said the boy suffered life-threatening injuries to his arm and head.
According to officials, rescuers used the jaws of life to cut away the machinery.
The boy's condition is not known at this time.
