Police: suspect attacked 3 Harrisburg officers with knife

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Three Harrisburg police officers are recovering after being injured in the line of duty early Sunday morning.

Sources told abc27 that the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 600 block of Oxford Street in Uptown.

According to authorities, the officers were trying to arrest a man for a prior stabbing incident when he came at them with a board and a knife.

One of those officers was stabbed, and the other two sustained minor cuts. They are all expected to recover.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody after police tasered him.
