LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating whether a burglary at a Coach outlet store in Lancaster County has any connection to a similar crime in Hershey last week.

East Lampeter Township police said the front glass door was shattered when officers arrived at the Tanger Outlets just after 2 a.m. Monday, and merchandise was missing from the displays and shelves.

No suspects were located, and the total property loss was not immediately determined, police said.

Derry Township police are investigating a similar burglary at a Coach outlet store early Wednesday.

Chief Patrick O'Rourke told abc27 the suspect descriptions and methods match up.

"They were operating a two-door silver vehicle, very small -- one white male and one black male -- described as to be in their 20's or early 30's and they were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, jeans and sneakers," he said.

Investigators in that case said two burglars smashed the plate glass from a front door, then stole a significant amount of merchandise.

Derry Township police last week released a surveillance photo of the suspects as they smashed their way through the front door.
