2 arrested after police find heroin during traffic stop

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two men were arrested after police say they found heroin on them during a traffic stop on Route 322.

Officers stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound at 85 mph in a 55 mph zone at around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver was identified as 18-year-old Damajah McLaughlin of Watson Drive in Newport. The passenger was 18-year-old Matthew Huynh of Red Drive in Loysville.

Due to actions of the two men, police obtained consent to search the vehicle and its occupants.

Police said they found four bundles of heroin in McLaughlin's pocket and two bundles of heroin in Huynh's shoe.

Officers also found an electronic scale and a jar with marijuana residue in the car.

Both men were charged with possession of counterfeit substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
