Danville, VA -- Firefighters in Danville rescued a cat stuck in a tree Wednesday morning.
Just after 7 a.m., a woman came up to a firefighter just getting to work and said that a cat was stuck in a tree on Bridge Street. For safety reasons, they took the ladder truck and firefighter Jay Farrar climbed up the ladder and got the cat.
They couldn't find the cat's owner, so they gave it to someone who was watching and wanted it. The Fire Department says they get calls like this only a few times a year.
