HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have arrested a Harrisburg man for the robbery of a Swatara Township bank two months ago.

Edward Ramsey, 46, is accused of holding up the Mid Penn Bank at 4509 Derry Street on June 3, according to township police.

Police previously said the robber handed a teller a note demanding cash that made mention of a gun, but no weapon was displayed.

According to investigators, evidence from that note led detectives to a business in Elizabethville and then to a trucking terminal in Carlisle, where they identified Ramsey as a suspect.

He was arraigned Wednesday and placed in Dauphin County Prison on $75,000 bail.

Ramsey is also being investigated by the Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division for escape. Authorities said he walked away from a prison work detail on Wednesday.

He was in the prison for his arrest in a burglary that took place in Harrisburg on the same day as the bank robbery, police said.
