An Etters man was flown to a hospital after he suffered significant injuries in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Fairview Township.
Richard Gillardy, 72, crossed over the center line in the 100 block of Valley Road and struck a tree on the opposite side of the road, according to Fairview Township police.
Gillardy was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, police said. He was flown by Life Lion to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
His wife was a passenger in the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt. She was treated for minor injuries, police said.
