Concord Community Holding Benefit Concert for Paralyzed Man

Concord, VA - People are pitching in to help a Campbell County man who was paralyzed after a car accident in North Carolina in July.

Jamie Johnson's wife Holly was killed, and he was paralyzed after an 18-wheeler hit his car head-on.

Their two children and another relative were injured.

Devault Family Vineyards in Concord is now stepping in. They will host a benefit concert from 3 to 9 p.m., this Saturday.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 dollars for kids. The money will go to help pay for some of Jamie's medical bills and other expenses.

"I didn't do this for any praise. I did this because there is somebody hurt. And we've been blessed. I look around at what I have and I thank God every day. By the grace of God go thee. That's what we live by so we like to do a lot of community active things," said Sharon DeVault, Owner of DeVault Family Vineyards.

The concert will feature Sully Smither, Prime Cut, and DJ Mad Lad.
