Harrisburg hosted a rally at the state capitol calling on gun laws to make neighborhoods safer.
The group Organizing For Action says it will not stop fighting until Congress passes common sense legislation that consists of background checks to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.
Organizers say partisan politics can be set aside on something most people in the country want.
"We know across the country 90 percent of Americans want this legislation, this common sense background checks on gun sales," said Greg Myers of Organizing For Action.
Ralliers joined hands at the same time as 14 other rallies across the state to show solidarity on the issue.
