PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lebanon doctor is headed to trial on charges he inappropriately touched female patients during exams at a North Londonderry Township medical practice.

A district judge on Thursday found enough evidence against Dr. Samuel Rashid to forward the case to Lebanon County Court.

Police have charged Rashid with indecent assaults on three patients, but prosecutors said they have more than 30 women who are willing to testify against him.

Three former patients testified at the preliminary hearing, including a young woman who told the judge that she was 12 or 13 years old when Rashid rubbed her breast under her bra during an examination for a possible ear infection in 2008.

She also testified that Rashid hugged her and kissed her on the cheek prior to the exam.

Another woman told the judge touched her groin area underneath her underwear during an exam in 2012.

His attorney, Joseph Sembrot, said Rashid denies the allegations and intends to fight the case to trial.

"Dr. Rashid treated these three women and Dr. Rashid treated them for medically responsible reasons," Sembrot said.

Rashid, 59, took a leave of absence from Lebanon Valley Family Medicine after the initial charge was filed against him last month.

The judge ordered him to have no contact with his accusers.
